Nevertheless, you have some lovely pieces on which to start your projects. :)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10378630021976085682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1722108067746649614.post-54598976336825476152016-02-23T13:05:27.961-08:002016-02-23T13:05:27.961-08:00My selection of "fancy fabric" around he...My selection of "fancy fabric" around here is very thin -- I did not know the pre-dyeing size thing was a... thing. Huh. Now that I know to watch out, I think would prefer to have the size post-dyeing, both count and physical size. It seems like it'd be less confusing.rosey175https://www.blogger.com/profile/00418995945160843165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1722108067746649614.post-51741843810426793642016-02-23T07:03:15.572-08:002016-02-23T07:03:15.572-08:00The measurements for hand dyed fabrics are typical...The measurements for hand dyed fabrics are typically the pre-dye measurement. The dyeing process does shrink the fabrics a little, so something like a 28ct might end up more of a 30ct, etc. That's why even when you pinned it out, it seems smaller than possible for the stated fabric count. Even though the fabric is smaller overall, the number of holes doesn't change when dyed. :)

Picture This Plus is a good dyer, I've ordered and stitched on many pieces of their fabric. :)Rahennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13203395207339138306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1722108067746649614.post-37370134298407670992016-02-23T03:02:22.051-08:002016-02-23T03:02:22.051-08:00Is it not because hand dyed fabrics shrink in the ...Is it not because hand dyed fabrics shrink in the dying process?Emma Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04332006920851900555noreply@blogger.com
