Nothing

That’s what I have to report. Or, to use my catchphrase “nothing picture worthy”.

Still, it’s a nice day out.  The beginning of a new week and nearly the beginning of a new month.  Lot’s to look forward to.  More blue on the Retro CatJ.  The WIPocalypse update is next weekend.  And to keep all of that company I’ve joined a mini mystery SAL which should be fun.  (More details here)

So I plan to have a great week.  I hope you all do too!!

IHSW A Blue Monday

I’ll keep this short so I can get busy reading all the other posts. J

I made more progress on the sky.  Two more stars!  Only four more rows of blue until the break for the building.  Which calls for ta-da! a different shade of blue.  We’ll see how much farther I get by the end of the week.  I may have to start on the purple in the next section.  Of course if I really want some variety I can always work on my WIPocalypse projects. Look what came in the mail!!

The fabulous Topcho kindly agreed to do a bookmark exchange with me.  Our source material came from the wonderful world of sprites designed by Dork Stitch.

Despite our best attempts to think it lost forever, Topcho’s package that she mailed February 21st finally arrived on April 6th. (Thank you USPS? J)  My contribution to further delay came when I didn’t check my box until they were closed. Monday came and the package was in my hands at last.  And it was well worth the wait.

How cool are they?  The pink plaid one is Lynn Minmei. The yellow one is Princess Peach and the pink polka-dotted one is Vampire Princess Miyu. To top it all off is Leonard.  All very excellent additions to my collection and much appreciated. Thank you Topcho!!

Topcho is having a giveaway to celebrate reaching 100 followers.  Head over to her blog and join in the fun!

An Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny

Progress report.  Yesterday was the WIPocalypse report after all.

Today, then, a Retro Cat update.  I’ve finished 6 rows of the 8 to the next star.  Not bad and there’s plenty more blue to look forward to. J

Hope everyone is having a nice Easter weekend.

WIPocalypse April

Let’s jump in:

Ballroom:

I think there was more progress on this before I went to work on it again. That’s when I discovered there were two extra rows in it.  (I blame those stitching elves – such pranksters!)  The best part (?) is that the two rows were over in the white and blue section on the edge. So now I can fix those two stitches I put in with the wrong color earlier. Joy. J

Mythical Dragon:

I’m not sure about this one.  Working with all that filament is just not fun.  I use that Thread Heaven which helps some but it just doesn’t look good to me.  I’ll have to find a different way to work this.

Do Not Disturb:

Nothing much new with this one. I did get a little farther on the flip flops.  Next I may try to go back to the sand.

That’s all for this month.
