Three stars in the sky.

Three stars in the sky of the Retro Cat. This means its picture worthy this week:

Only 8 more rows of blue until the next star space! After that I’ll have to pay attention (?) because there are more stars. And a building. The building I understand but I’m not sure why there aren’t more stars higher up. Who knows? Anyway, as usual, I want to work on something else. Like the purple in the next section or something completely new. So far I’ve been saved by not being able to decide which shade of purple to do first. Then, of course, the WIPocalypse update is next week and I want more progress to report next time. Just to help keep that from happening, I’m off to the library today to do more Christmas stitching with my friend. Not exactly too new, but different.

May April Fool’s Day not play too many tricks on any of us. J

Some progress, an award and random things.

I’ve managed to add a few more rows of blue to the Retro cat. Not exactly picture worthy at the moment.  We’ll see what next week brings.
The very kind Topcho has nominated me for the Liebster award.  Thank you Topcho! I believe if I read this right, the purpose of this award is to promote blogs with under 200 followers.  A very worthwhile endeavor.  So now I’m supposed to nominate five more people to pass the award onto.  Teensy problem with that. Ok, maybe two problems. Most of the blogs I would nominate have recently been given the award by someone else. J Small world I guess.  The other is that I’m still new in the blogging world.  More lurking and stalking than commenting if you will.  So I’m not sure if they would appreciate it if I suddenly popped up and said “Here, have an award.” With that said I will still offer you a few choices of blogs I follow, or intend to soon.  You can check them out and decide for yourselves whether or not to follow them. :-)
If that leaves you wanting more, every full moon (next one is April 6) check out the WIPocalypse updates at Measi's Musings.  And on the third weekend of every month check out (or better still join) IHSW at Random Ramblings.
Whew! Talk, talk talk. One more thing.  I’m supposed to list 5 random things you don’t know about me.  Hope you’re sitting down. J Let’s go from worst to best.
I hate rotations. The minute I decide on one I get bored. It doesn’t stop me from trying though!
I like to make lists.  There has to be some use for all this paper I have around.
I like science fiction.
I like to collect things: cross stitch patterns, books, bookmarks, key chains etc.
I love chocolate!

Happy stitching World!

IHSW Monday

Hope everyone had a great stitching weekend.  Mine seemed a bit more successful than normal for me.  My friend and I got together at the library on Saturday to stitch.  We were supposed to be doing Christmas pieces but I snuck in another one.  I managed to finish it later when I got home so I was happy. The piece is from Lizzie Kate’s flip- it series.

On Sunday the retro cat really did return.  I put in the next four rows of blue and made it down to the next star.  It was nice to work on it again.  We’ll see how long that lasts. J

It's Done! It's Done! aka the return of the Retro Cat.

“Don’t Worry Be Hippie” by Barbara Ana is complete.  Huzzah!!

So now it’s on to, or rather back to the Retro Cat.  Here’s what it looked like when last seen.

Admittedly it still looks the same since I haven’t worked on it yet. J But there’s a new week of stitching to look forward to so I plan to make some progress on that blue of the window.

Happy stitching World.

WIPocalypse March

Wow, nothing like a due date to point out what you’ve been doing for the last month.  In terms of the Ballroom and Dragon pictures that equals nothing.  Do Not disturb faired a little better.  I put in more sand and some green for the flip flops (so I could see something besides sand).  I need to try a little harder on this one.  My friend’s birthday is in July and it would be nice to have it done by then.  J

More of the same.

I was going to complain about this not being done yet but that’s just a waste of time.  Kind of like yesterday when I managed not to stitch at all.  Not the kind of March madness to indulge in.

So today I stitched.  And to prove it all the stitching is in.  All there is left is the backstitch.  Which should be easy but given the way I go about these things who knows? J
